Updated ‘Guidelines for Owners, Operators and Masters for protection against piracy in the Gulf of Guinea region’

BIMCO, ICS, INTERTANKO and INTERCARGO have recently published an update to their ‘Guidelines for Owners, Operators and Masters for protection against piracy in the Gulf of Guinea region.’ The document, to be read in conjunction with the 4th edition of the Best Management Practices for Protection against Somalia-based Piracy (BMP4). Among other updates, the updated reporting info reflects the closure of MTISC-GoG and the opening of the Maritime Domain Awareness for Trade (MDAT) – GoG.
