Cyber Interference

Jul 31, 2018
NATO is concerned about cyber security in the Mediterranean region. In recent months, several electronic interferences have been detected, particularly GPS and AIS interference, as well as possible GPS jamming in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Additional reporting is requested by NATO Maritime Command in order to construct a comprehensive picture of this activity and thereby assess the impact in the maritime domain.

The NATO Shipping Centre remains the primary point of contact for merchant vessels and shipping companies.
